Beef wrap with gherkins and pepers with framage frais

Last day of vegetables. The lunch turned out pretty nice, though I do feel very awkward lining up all my plastic boxes at work to put a dish together…

Day 9

Breakfast

Yoghurt

Lunch

Char-grilled chicken and salad

Char-grilled chicken and salad (cucumber, salad, tomatoes)

Dinner

Grilled cod with salad

Grilled cod with salad, and cucumber in yoghurt.

Desert

Protal cookies.

The fish might look ok, but I don’t think my cooking efforts worked out too well. I don’t like fish much in the first place, so I guess marinating over night is going to be an obligatory action from now on…

Day 8

Breakfast

Nothing

Lunch

Pan fried chicken with onions + salad (tomatoe, cucumber, letuce)

Dinner

Fried Chicken and diet coke

Very rushed day, overslept slightly in the morning, which meant no time for breakfast. Thus the lunch was quite early. And then we were going to see Jimmy Carr in the evening, but I got home very late, so we only had about 30 minutes to eat dinner. In the end we had a bit of sinful fast food – I had some fried chicken breast strips.

No photos today because I only remembered half-way through the meal…

Weight loss: -0.7kg

The scales were very friendly today and after a few days of small losses I had quite a fall today. Today we went out for lunch so I guess my lunch was not 100% dit friendly. I’ve succumed to a few tiny halves of roasted baby potatos. Hope it does not affect my weight loss too much tomorrow.

The evening held quite a surprise in the form of the newly tried out recipe for protal oat biscuits. The pancakes are OK, but I was craving for some other way of ingesting my 3 spoons of bran. I must say the cookies turned out so delicious even my partner want some now!

Oat bran cookies

Looking for a tasty way to consume your 3 bran spoons a day? Here is a recipe for tasty little oat bran cookies.

Ciasteczka owsiane (biszkopciki)

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 table spoon of sweetener
  • 3 table spoons of oat bran
  • 1 table spoon of baking powder
  • 2-3 spoons of milk (or yoghurt)

Instructions

Mix everything together until it forms a consistent mass. Use a shallow form for nice crispy result or spread them directly on a baking tray layed out with baking paper. Heat the oven to 180°C and bake for about 15 minutes (until they start to go golden brown on top).

Oat bran biscuits in a baking form

In a baking form like mine, putting a spoon of the mix per hole made nicely sized cookies.
