Today’s highlight is the little cheese balls. I’ve tried low fat cheese before. Unfortunately after the first bite they usually proven to be uneatable… by which I mean bland and disgusting. But the Babybel Light turned out to be OK.

Looking for a tasty way to consume your 3 bran spoons a day? Here is a recipe for tasty little oat bran cookies.

Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 table spoon of sweetener
- 3 table spoons of oat bran
- 1 table spoon of baking powder
- 2-3 spoons of milk (or yoghurt)
Instructions
Mix everything together until it forms a consistent mass. Use a shallow form for nice crispy result or spread them directly on a baking tray layed out with baking paper. Heat the oven to 180°C and bake for about 15 minutes (until they start to go golden brown on top).

In a baking form like mine, putting a spoon of the mix per hole made nicely sized cookies.

A very handy way to digest the obligatory 3 spoons of oat bran is in the form of kind of pancakes. They are very easy to make, and are a good substitute for things like bread, as well as a desert base.

Ingredients
Portion for one:
- 2 table spoons of oat bran
- 1 table spoon of wheat bran
- 1 egg
- 1 table spoon of fromage frais
- pinch of salt
Instructions
Mix up all the ingredients in a bowl until they form a nice sticky mass. Warm up a pan, if you are using teflon no need for any oil. Put the bran mix on the pan and spread it thinly. For a nice effect cover the pan with a lid while cooking.
If you want to make more than one portion just multiply all the ingredients by the number of portions.

Last day of pure proteins today. On my way home done lots of shopping for the veggie time ahead! I love meat and chicken, but even I was starting to get a bit bored with all the same meals. The variety of my diat is quite limited due to my lack of fondness for fish and sea food in general, so it will be nice to be able to add some vegetables now.

Well the chocolate cream was a big disaster… I’m not sure why it was saying to bake it in the first place, but it ended up as a crispy thin top, and the rest still liquid. It’s edible, and not the worst taste, however how you would serve it other than eat it straight from the muffin mould.
I have decided to stock up on the pancakes, as so far I have been doing them one portion at a time, which isn’t the height of convenience… So I’ve done 4 of them tonight. Saves me worrying about how I’ll get my daily bran amount.
