Char-grilled chicken breast chunks and Babybel cheese bites

Dinner

Chicken breast grilled with spices

Weight change: +0.1kg

I really hate mornings when you can barely open your eyes. No time for breakfast – lucky I bought some ham the day before so I just took that to work. Last day of protein today, back on vegetables tomorrow and I already have some nice bell papers waiting in the fridge.

Day 14

Breakfast

Soft boiled eggs with protal pancake

Lunch

Fried chicken breast strips + diet coke + a few french fries – the temptation was too much :(

Dinner

Sirloin steak + diet coke

Desert

Protein bar

Weight change: -0.05kg

Obviously the scales are making fun of me, there is a loss, but not really…

I wasn’t very good at following the diet today. We have been clearing out the old place today, and couldn’t help but visit our old favourite chicken shop. I blame it on the friendly guy, who was supposed to swap my fries for an extra chicken piece, but instead gave me more meat AND the fries… However I did leave almost all of them.

While restocking my oat bran supplies I managed to venture into the realm of protein bars. To be honest I was actually shocked how many of them are high sugar. They might be low on fat and high on protein but if  the sugar’s highthat’s not really good. In the end I did find one that was just 1g of sugar per whole bar, and surprise surprise it even tasted quite nice… Might make it my Sunday treat if they don’t affect my diet disastrously.

Breakfast

Fried eggs with a few slices of a sausage

Second breakfast

Protal pancake with low fat cheese spread

Lunch

Fried chicken breast strips  and a diet coke

Dinner

Desert

Protal pancake with chocolate cream

Wight change: -0.5kg

The scales have been very generous today, and I have caught up with the weight from before a slight spike this week. That puts it at 5kg in about 4 weeks.

Chicken Breast with Cream Cheese and Garlic

Good for the protain phase this dish is fairly quick and easy to prepare.

Chicken breast with cream cheese and garlic spice

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast
  • 1-2 spoons of cream cheese (like Philladelphia extra light)
  • Garlic spice
  • Oregano

Instructions

Cut a pocket in the breast – you can either do it from the side or from the top.  The side cut does tend to leak more cheese and you need thicker chicken breast for it to work better.

Chicken breast with "pockets"

Stuff the chicken with 1 or 2 spoons of cream cheese.

Chicken breasts filled with cream cheese

Spread tin foil on a baking tray and dust the middle with garlic spice. Next put the chicken on the spice and add some more garlic on top as well as some oregano.

Chicken breasts with cream cheese and spices

Cover the meat with the tin foil to create a bag and put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 150C. Afterwards open the foil and let it brown for another 10-15 minutes at 180C.

Day 12

Breakfast

Oat bran biscuits

Protal cookies

Lunch

Chicken breasts with garlic spice oven cooked in tin foil

Dinner

Grilled chicken

Snacks

Sugar free gum and last babybel Light cheese piece

I had dinner quite late as I stuffed myself so badly at lunch time, that I felt full for a long while, even despite an early lunch…

I also started exercising a bit more regularly – enjoying the new Wii Fit Plus quite a lot! I accidently spent over 40 minutes just doing the juggling game… Gets a bit addictive, and you don’t even see how the time flies… My goal is to do yoga every day in the morning, but as I’m not much of a morning person it might prove to be quite a challange.
