			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A visit from my parents promted two weeks of solid dieting &#8211; my father joined the dukan diet and it was nice to have everyone eat the same things.</p>
<p>Managed to shift 2.5kg in those two weeks. Considering my longterm and recent health issues it is actually a good result. And this is something that I struggle with &#8211; accepting the fact that I&#8217;m not loosing the weight as fast as I would like. However slowly I&#8217;m starting to be more happy with this slow but steady success.</p>

Today I had

<p>Today I had<br />
- oat bran muffins<br />
- roast chicken leftovers<br />
- fried chicken leftovers with mushrooms and peppers and onions<br />
- diet coke, tea &#038; water</p>
<p>I found that roasted (well, cooked in the oven) whole chicken is a great dish and can save you some money too. You can first have the roast chicken, then you can use the bones for soup, and the leftover meat can be used for 1-3 more meals (and that&#8217;s two people eating&#8230;) depending on the corpus size.</p>
<p>These leftover bits work great as a diet stir fry with veggies or filling for oat bran pancakes.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As you have probably noticed I couldn&#8217;t quite get back on the diet proparly after the Christmas break for longer than a couple of days. Now that Easter is over I have decided to re-start properly.</p>
<p>On the plus side despite eating whatever I fancied in the last couple of month I haven&#8217;t gained much weight from the point where I stopped dieting. In fact most of my weight gain happened in the last couple of weeks when I was taking steroids for medical reasons. It&#8217;s a good thing to see, as it gives me hope that once I finish the Dukan program it looks like the weight should not bounce back.</p>
<p>One thing I&#8217;m not sure about is whether I&#8217;ll be doing daily or weekly updates here. Depends on how much time I&#8217;ll have to spare on a daily basis.</p>
