Obviously the scales are making fun of me, there is a loss, but not really…
I wasn’t very good at following the diet today. We have been clearing out the old place today, and couldn’t help but visit our old favourite chicken shop. I blame it on the friendly guy, who was supposed to swap my fries for an extra chicken piece, but instead gave me more meat AND the fries… However I did leave almost all of them.
While restocking my oat bran supplies I managed to venture into the realm of protein bars. To be honest I was actually shocked how many of them are high sugar. They might be low on fat and high on protein but if the sugar’s highthat’s not really good. In the end I did find one that was just 1g of sugar per whole bar, and surprise surprise it even tasted quite nice… Might make it my Sunday treat if they don’t affect my diet disastrously.

The scales have been very generous today, and I have caught up with the weight from before a slight spike this week. That puts it at 5kg in about 4 weeks.

Hi,
With this diet, you go down and sometimes you go up – for no apparent reason. Very frustrating! I think its more to do with fluid intake than much else as long as you stick to the diet.
You scale reads 100ths – could be maddening.
Chicken from your ‘old favourite chicken shop’ doesn’t happen to be crumbed and deep-fried
Take a good thing and just ruin it.
I sent you a Wave – do you use it?
Just replied to your wave. Quite exciting this new toy
I use the Wii balance board for weight measurements – it is quite sensitive, but the readings are in lbs, so you need to read the kilograms of the scale at the ‘body test’ time – the only time you get both measurements…
Yes, the chicken-shop is unfortunately a deep fried establishment
It’s really quite hard to eat out anywhere – nearly everything is smothered in one kind of sauce or another.
As a recipe idea, take pieces of chicken breast, roll in a beaten egg mixture and then roll in oat bran and a sprinkle of herbs (and spice if you like). You can probably cover 2 or 3 chicken breasts cut into big pieces with one egg and a couple of tablespoons of oat bran.
Slowly pan fry in a nice non-stick pan (no oil). Cover the pan to help the cooking of the chicken pieces and cook on a very low heat.
They come out like the fast-food variety, but with obvious added benefits.
Wow, that’s freaky, this is exactly what I was preparing for today, before you posted your comment
